,,Palangos ruoniai", the hardening festival is traditionally held in February. Many people who like winter-bathing and call themselves "seals" come to Palanga to bathe in the freezing water of the Baltic Sea.
 
 Shrovetide carnival, seven weeks before Easter is a festival of disguise, pan-cakes and joy, which symbolizes the end of winter.
 
 St. George's Day, April 23 is a beautiful spring festival. On the nearest weekend a folk music festival is organized.

 Summer Feast, end of June. It symbolizes the opening of summer season. Concerts, street shows, discos, sports competitions, crafts fair and many other events are organized, which end up with a magnificent firework at the sea bridge.

 Fisherman's Festival, middle of July, is a fishermen festivity in Sventoji settlement.

 ,,Saules takas", Amateur Theatres Festival, middle of August, is a great festival of amateur theatres to commemorate the first Lithuanian theatre play, which was staged in 1899 at Palanga sea bridge.
